OK, SquidCache is tried and true, been around since the beginning of time (it supports Gopher for christs sake!)
But it was never REALLY supposed to be an HTTP Accelerator (reverse proxy to you old skool admins)
Varnish on the other hand IS supposed to be a HTTP Accelerator, originally written by Poul-Henning Kamp (hey, we LOVE PHK here, the guy did the MD5 password hash code for FreeBSD and is an avid Beerware License developer, we LOVE BEERWARE!). Varnish tends to have a noticeably smaller footprint than Squid, but also has a VERY noticeable increase in performance. (We don’t run it here yet, but I run it elsewhere)
Varnish has its own configuration language, which is really more of a high level programming language (think sendmail.cf macros, only easier to read/write), the cool part of the language is it gets converted to C, compiled, and loaded as a .so (shared object for you non-*NIX people).
Varnish has only been around since ‘06, but its on v2.0.4, which is pretty good for OSS.
No one knew what function the insectoids once served for the departed Buyur, but they were a damned nuisance nowadays. There were daisy bushes in the front yard, and a small rose garden her mother had loved just outside her kitchen windows.
Sometime in the next few days, or weeks, someone at the upper echelons of government is going to say, `Call in the Marines.
Weryl drooled out the last section of cheese, a whitish-yellow mess that oozed across Ayrlyn's wrist.
The news rattling around the web today is Starbucks new trial, they dropped the Starbucks name at a store in Seattle and went with 15th Avenue Coffee & Tea.
Sounds like a quaint little mom & pop corner coffee shop right? Except they’re serving BEER and Wine!
Lets just hope they DON’T actually try to make this a microbrewery.
Ok, so I really doubt they’re brewing their own, I mean, who wants a double whip no foam mint mochiato pilsner?

Phelan's maze of legal needs-securities, antitrust, employment, mergers, and dozens of personal matters. She'd changed her hair, had grown up a bit, was more sophisticated, more alive, as though she'd turned into a completely different woman.
I mean, if you think Starbucks makes Coffee (instead of overly priced burnt sugered motor oil that is), you might actually like this place. Me? I’ll stick with a local brewpub.
The funny part? They didn’t even think it up themselves, they ripped off the idea from Seattle Coffee Works.
